As per our earlier prediction, this year’s iPhone lineup is expected to include not three iPhones but four iPhone models with different screen sizes and also including the iPhone Mini to the new lineup of iPhone 12. Although there are rumors that the series is likely to comprise one 5.4-inch (iPhone mini) model, two 6.1-inch models, and one 6.7-inch model.
As per our new sources, Apple has reportedly shared the camera module orders to its suppliers, and in the process some details have been revealed. All new iPhone 12 series might come with an improved wide-angle camera. The sources referred to the supply chain that leaked that the wide-angle lens of all four iPhone 12 models is improved from 6P to 7P.
However the report also revealed that O-film Tech and Sharp are the 2 companies that will be taking care of the all camera modules of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max and are also planning for the production of 50 million units. As per the report, LG Innotek (electronic component manufacturing company) is expected to make cameras for the other two models of the series and might go for the production of 35-40 million units.
This just proves that Apple is expecting and targetting more sales of the lower end two models of iPhone 12 than the higher-end models of the iPhone 12 series.
Although as per our sources, iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max will be likely to have two rear cameras each and the other two might feature triple rear camera setups.
