Apple updates COVID-19 screening app with new mask cleaning tips and CDC symptoms list

 

Apple released its new version 3.0 of its COVID-19  screening app and the latest update includes updated symptoms and recommendations from the CDC and also tips for using cloth masks.

In April 2020 Apple updated its COVID screening app with guidance from state health authorities. but this new version 3 app brings tips for how to make use of cloth masks to keep people safe as well as cleaning them, and the latest recommendations and symptoms to watch out for as detailed by the centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Apple highlights the new information among other mask tips like Sanitizing the mask routinely and wash in the hot water.

This new Version 3.0 of Apple’s COVID app is still spreading in the App Store, so check back a bit later if you’re not seeing the update now.

Earlier this week the CDC(Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) added these symptoms to its official page on COVID-19: chills repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell.

Release notes include update includes bug fixes and improvements and additional language support

including:

• Updated symptoms and recommended actions to align with the latest CDC (centers for Disease Control and Prevention) guidelines such as tips to use a  cloth mask to protect people and others from the disease.
